The sliding cube comprises nineteen small cube-shaped loose pieces which can be moved in any direction by sliding them around the arms of a fixed central segment. All the pieces and fixed segment are held inside a frame. The aim of the puzzle is to arrange the pieces to form images on each side of the cube.
