The production of chelating derivatives comprises photochemical reaction of a fullerene with a chelating reagent, for separation and purification of the adduct. Also claimed is a process using the derivatives. CLAIMED PROCESS - The process provides adsorbent materials and e.g. chromatography stationary phases.
