PURPOSE: An integrated meter reading system having an overconsumption display function and a controlling method thereof are provided to decide the overconsumed amount by comparing the amount used to the reference amount. CONSTITUTION: An integrated meter reading system having an overconsumption display function includes a connection terminal(500), a power supply, a key input unit(200), a display(100), a storage unit, a sensor unit, and a CPU. The connection terminal(500) is used for receiving signals from a wattmeter(60), a water gauge meter(70), and a gasometer(80). The power supply is formed with an internal power source and a constant voltage unit. The key input unit(200) is formed with a mode selection/storage key(210) including a display mode selection key(211), a meter mode selection key(212), and a storage key(213), an up/down control key(220), and a power key(400). The display(100) is used for displaying the amount used and the corresponding charge according to the input of the display mode selection key(211). The storage unit is formed with a RAM and a ROM. The sensor unit is formed with an illuminance sensor(30), a flow sensor(40), and a temperature sensor(50). The CPU is used for controlling all operations of each component and displaying the overconsumed amount.
