PURPOSE: To provide a small surface mounted antenna in which the defect of a capacitive coupling system is diminished while the independence of adjusting a resonant frequency and a matching characteristic is maintained in the same degree as those of a reverse F antenna and the capacitive coupling antenna system. CONSTITUTION: A ground electrode 4 is provided on at least one surface of a dielectric base body 1 made of a dielectric substance, and a radiation electrode 2 of which the one end is left open and the other end is connected to the ground electrode 4 is provided in the dielectric substance 1 or on the surface of the dielectric substance 1. A feeding terminal 3a is provided away from the ground electrode on the one surface where the ground electrode 4 is formed, and a feeding electrode 3 for electrically connecting the radiation electrode 2 to the feeding terminal 3a is provided. The feeding electrode 3 is formed so that it connects the feeding terminal 3a to the ground electrode 4 and at least a part of the feeding electrode 3 is extended in parallel with an elongated direction of the radiation electrode and both the parallel parts are mutually coupled with induction field.
