CONSTITUTION: In the power transmission mechanism T of a sewing machine 1 provided with a crank rod 7, a first gear 12 and a second gear 14 for dynamically connecting an upper shaft 3 for vertically moving a sewing needle 16 and a lower shaft 4 for swinging a shuttle 15, a grease holding member 19 impregnated with grease is brought into contact with at least one of the first gear 10 and the second gear 12 and the grease is applied to the respective gears 10 and 12.
