PURPOSE: A power control method for an air conditioner is provided to make comfortable environment in hot summer season by intermittently operating the air conditioner. CONSTITUTION: An electric fan includes a power switch for turning on/off power of the electric fan, a timer button for adjusting operating time of the electric fan, and a wind control button for controlling an amount of wind. A power control switch is connected to a controller controlling a motor. An operating time is set by means of an operating time setting section. A stop time setting section is provided to allow a user to set a stop time of the electric fan. When the power control switch is turned on, the operating time set in the operating time setting section and the stop time set in the stop time setting section are inputted into the controller. Thus, the controller controls the motor such that the electric fan is intermittently operated.
