BELT FOR PAPER MAKING MACHINE AND PRODUCTION OF BELT BY COATING BASE BODY WITH LIQUID POLYURETHANE PREPARED BY REACTING URETHANE PREPOLYMER HAVING ISOCYANATE GROUP AND HARDENER CONTAINING DIMETHYLTHIOTOLUENEDIAMINE

摘要

PURPOSE: A belt for paper making machine comprising a urethane prepolymer having an isocyanate group and a hardener containing dimethylthiotoluenediamine(DMTDA) is provided together with a method for production thereof. The belt has well-balanced characteristics in crack resistance, abrasion resistance, and permanent set resistance. The production method uses the hardener containing DMTDA at room temperature and does not need to heat and melt, thereby avoiding working risk and reducing working time and production cost. CONSTITUTION: The belt(10) for paper making machine is prepared by the steps of: preparing a base body(30); reacting a urethane prepolymer having an isocyanate group and a hardener containing dimethylthiotoluenediamine for 30min or more at 10 to 60 deg.C and subsequently at 100 to 150 deg.C; and then coating liquid polyurethane(20) on the base body. The liquid polyurethane is obtained by mixing the urethane prepolymer and hardener to cause the equivalence ratio of an active hydrogen group of the hardener and isocyanate group of the urethane prepolymer to be 0.9 to 1.10.
