CONSTITUTION: This breaking apparatus is composed of conveyers 1 arranged in parallel for receiving a plate glass A supplied after the work of an edge breaking line B or the like and delivering after breaking, a 1st edge breaking apparatus D and a 2nd edge breaking apparatus E respectively provided before the receiving side of the conveyer and in front of the delivery side of the conveyer, a stopper 2 for positioning the edge breaking line by the contact with the peripheral side of the plate glass and capable of retreating to a position where the collision with the plate glass in the receiving and the delivering of the plate glass is avoided by an elevating means F before the 1st edge breaking apparatus and in front of the 2nd edge breaking apparatus, 3rd edge breaking apparatuses respectively provided outside both outside and each having a stopper for positioning the plate glass, a transporting apparatus H for the plate glass for sending the edge breaking line to the 3rd edge breaking apparatus and a parting breaking apparatus for a parting line provided between the conveyers.
