PURPOSE: A method is provided to achieve improved hill climbing ability of vehicle by controlling the fuel injection amount in accordance with the gradient and vehicle speed. CONSTITUTION: A method comprises a step(S100,S110,S120,S150) of judging a vehicle travel speed and a gradient when the vehicle with a diesel engine starts operation; a step(S130,S160) of selecting a flat land smoke map or a hill smoke map preset in the memory in accordance with the vehicle travel speed and gradient judged in the previous step; and a step(S140) of determining the fuel injection amount in accordance with the selected smoke map, degree of opening of the accelerating pedal and fuel amount, and outputting a fuel injection control signal.
