PURPOSE: Provided is an electrophotographic photosensitive member, which has excellent lubrication and electrophotographic properties, and improved wear resistance, without causing deterioration of image quality. CONSTITUTION: The electrophotographic photosensitive member includes a support(4) and a photosensitive layer disposed thereon. The electrophotographic photosensitive member has a surface layer(1) which contains an acrylic polymer having polyfluoroolefin units and alkylene oxide units, and having a number-average molecular weight of 2,000 to 20,000. Particularly, the acrylic polymer is obtained by polymerization of an acrylate monomer having a polyfluoroolefin unit and an acrylate monomer having an alkylene oxide unit, or polymerization of an acrylate monomer having a polyfluoroolefin unit and an alkylene oxide unit.
