PORTABLE PHONE HAVING AUTOMATIC FOLDER DRIVING UNIT

PURPOSE: A portable phone having an automatic folder driving unit is provided to automatically open or close the folder of a portable phone when the user moves the folder somewhat. CONSTITUTION: A portable phone comprises a main body(50), a folder(60), a hinge unit(75), and a driving unit(72). The main body(50) has a pair of shaft support parts(55) opened opposite to each other. The folder(60) has a housing(65) located between the shaft support parts(55). The hinge unit(75) connects the shaft support parts(55) with the housing(65) so that the folder(60) can be opened and closed for the main body(50). The driving unit(72) generates driving force to the hinge unit(75) to open and close the folder(60). Also the portable phone comprises a folder location detection sensor(100). The folder location detection sensor(100), installed either in the main body(50) or the folder(60), detects the motion of the folder(60) for the main body(50).
