PURPOSE: A linearization apparatus for reducing and enlarging a peak-to-average power ratio is provided to control the peak-to-average power ratio by using an RF circuit. CONSTITUTION: A linearization apparatus for reducing and enlarging a peak-to-average power ratio includes the first power distributor(40), a rate limiter(42), the first vector modulator(44), the first delay line(46), the second power distributor(50), the second delay line(52), a main amplifier(56), a combiner(48), the second vector modulator(58), an error amplifier(60), and a directional coupler(62). The first power distributor(40) is used for distributing the power of input signal in half. The rate limiter(42) is used for distorting the input signal by lowering the peak-to-average power ratio. The first vector modulator(44) is used for performing a vector modulation process for the distributed signal. The first delay line(46) is used for delaying an output signal of the first vector modulator(44). The second power distributor(50) is used for distributing the power of the output signal of the rate limiter(42) in half. The second delay line(52) is used for delaying an output signal of the second power distributor(50). The main amplifier(56) is used for amplifying the delayed signal of the second power distributor(50). The combiner(48) is used for combining the output signal of the second power distributor(50) with the delayed signal of the first delay line(46). The second vector modulator(58) is used for outputting an error signal by performing the vector modulation process for the combined signal of the combiner(48). The error amplifier(60) is used for outputting an error signal by amplifying the output signal of the second vector modulator(58). The directional coupler(62) is used for outputting a linear signal by coupling the amplified signal of the main amplifier(56) to the error signal of the error amplifier(60).
