PURPOSE: A steering wheel cover for a vehicle and a method for manufacturing the steering wheel cover are provided to improve contact feeling for gripping a steering wheel through the cover, to reduce fatigue of a driver by radiating far infrared rays and negative ions to hands of the driver and into the vehicle, to improve health of the driver and passengers, and to purify air in the vehicle. CONSTITUTION: A method for manufacturing a steering wheel cover(2) is composed of steps of separating sands(3) having a uniform size of particles(100); heating the separated sands at the temperature of 1200 deg.C for 30 minutes(200); powdering and grinding heated sands(300); mixing 1¯5% of sand powders with 95¯99% of silicon liquid(4)(400); forming the steering wheel cover by injecting the silicon liquid, which is mixed with the sand powders, into a mold(5)(500).
