PURPOSE: A vitrified diamond wheel for grinding a cemented tungsten carbide is provided to maintain the sharpness of grains at the time of grinding the cemented tungsten carbide and to extend a lifetime of the wheel. CONSTITUTION: Diamond grains(2) for grinding a cemented tungsten carbide include a non coating diamond and a coating diamond coated with aluminum oxide, copper, and nickel on a diamond surface. The concentration ratio of grains in a wheel(1) is 23 to 50% in volume. The blowhole ratio is in a range of 5 to 30% in volume. The composition of a bonding agent(3) is composed of 47 to 53%(wt) of silicon oxide, 17 to 30%(wt) of aluminum oxide, 9 to 15%(wt) of boron oxide, 6 to 14%(wt) of RO, and 4 to 16%(wt) of R2O. The diamond grains are mixed with metal powders(4) of copper, cobalt, nickel, tungsten, and iron or at least two kinds of alloy powders with the bonding agent to sinter these mixtures.
