PURPOSE: Provided are an alkaloid-based compound, such as piperidine or pyridone, having potent inhibiting activity of platelet aggregation. Therefore, it is used for the treatment of brainvascular and cardiovascular diseases. CONSTITUTION: An alkaloid-based compound having potent inhibiting activity of platelet aggregation is characteristically obtained from a tree selected from the group consisting of Piper retrofrctum Vahl., Piper amalago Linn., Piper chaba, Piper brachystachyum Wall., Piper futokadsura Sieb. et Zucc., Piper guineense Schum and Piper falconeri.
