PURPOSE: Provided is a hair tint composition which involves a novel acid coupler for permanent hair dyeing. therefore, it is excellent in coloring and maintains colors for a long time. CONSTITUTION: A hair tint composition is characterized by containing a coupler, a coloring agent and a carrier, wherein the coupler is selected from the group consisting of salicylic acid, m-toluylene diamine sulfonic acid, naphthol sulfonic acid, aminonaphthalene sulfonic acid, aminonaphtholsulfonic acid, salicylic acid derivatives, sulfonic acid derivatives and their salts.
