PURPOSE: A telemetry system using a GPS and a method for the same are provided to perform a metering process within a short period of time by automatically metering process of a target within a constant position. CONSTITUTION: A telemetry system using a GPS includes a telemetry(220), a telemetry center(230), and a database(238). The telemetry(220) displays a position of a target, an user's position, and the map information by using a GPS. In addition, the telemetry(220) receives the checked data from the target when approaching the target. The telemetry center(230) is connected to the telemetry(220) in order to receive the checked data and process the accounting on the basis of the checked data. The database(238) is used for storing and managing the checked data.
