PURPOSE: A cathode ray tube is provided to prevent an image distortion at a circumference part of a screen and to maintain a uniformity of a fine brightness. CONSTITUTION: A cathode ray tube comprises a panel(20) having essentially a flat outside and an inside of curvature shape, a fluorescent screen formed on the inside, a funnel coupled to a rear part of the panel, a neck coupled to a rear part of the funnel, an electron gun mounted on the inside of the neck, a deflection yoke mounted on the circumference of the funnel, and a color sorting unit mounted on the inside of the panel. The color sorting unit sorts a plurality of electron beams emitted from the electron gun and guides the electrode beams in such a manner that the electron beams reach the fluorescent screen. The cathode ray tube satisfies the following relation of 120(%)<=(th/tc)x100<=130(%), wherein th is the thickness of the horizontal circumference part in the panel, and tc is the thickness of center part in the panel.
