TRAY LOCKING DEVICE OF OPTICAL DISC DRIVE AND DISC DRIVE EMPLOYING THE SAME

PURPOSE: A tray locking device of an optical disc drive and a disc drive employing the tray locking device are provided to construct the tray locking device using a magnet and a coil for canceling the magnetic force of the magnet to produce a slim and inexpensive optical disc drive. CONSTITUTION: A tray locking device of an optical disc drive includes a locking part, a lever(320), an elastic member(330), a switch(370) and a returning part. The locking part is set in a fixed frame(210). The lever has the second locking part selectively combined with the locking part and rotates to a position where the locking part and the second locking part are combined with each other and a position where the two locking parts are separated from each other. The elastic member gives elasticity to the lever. The switch locks the lever at the combination position according to a magnetic force and temporarily cancels the magnetic force to return the lever to the separation position. The returning part returns the lever from the separation position to the combination position.
