PURPOSE: Provided are a mucoadhesive composition and formulation for solubilization of insoluble drugs and preparation methods thereof. The composition has liquid or semi-solid phase while having liquid phase to have mucoadhesion at body temperature, and is thus useful for the drug delivery. CONSTITUTION: A mucoadhesive composition for the solubilization of insoluble drugs is characterized by containing 4-90 wt.% of at least one monoglyceride compound, and 0.01-90 wt.% of at least one kind of oil, based on the total weight of the composition.
