PURPOSE: An image forming apparatus capable of transmitting music and a method of driving the image forming apparatus are provided to reproduce a previously stored music file when print data is printed or is received. CONSTITUTION: An image forming apparatus includes a storage unit(110) in which at least one music file is stored, a printing unit(140) that prints print data, a music reproducing unit(150) that reproduces the music file stored in the storage unit, and a controller(130). The controller drives the printing unit to print the print data when a print command signal is received and, simultaneously, controls the music reproducing unit to reproduce the music file. When printing of the print data is finished, the control controls the music reproducing unit to stop the reproduction of the music file.
