PURPOSE: A method for manufacturing a liquid crystal display is provided to simplify a process of manufacturing a substrate by opening gate pads and source pads in a cell process. CONSTITUTION: A thin film transistor array including gate lines, data lines, thin film transistors, and pixel electrodes is formed on a lower substrate. A color filter array is formed on an upper substrate. The upper substrate and the lower substrate are bonded with each other. The bonded upper substrate and lower substrate are cut by cell units. Gate pads(51b) of the gate lines and source pads(56c) of the data lines of the bonded lower substrate are opened by soaking the gate pads and the source pads in an etchant(70). |
