METHOD FOR PRODUCING NANO HYDROXYAPATITE PARTICLES

PURPOSE: A method for producing nano hydroxyapatite particles for use as carrier of antibacterial materials such as silver ion and copper ions is provided. CONSTITUTION: The method comprises the steps of (a) preparing calcium solution by dissolving calcium salts in water, (b) preparing phosphate solution by dissolving phosphates in water, (c) feeding ammonia water to the calcium solution or the phosphate solution to adjust pH within the range of 10 to 12, (d) feeding the phosphate solution to the calcium solution at feeding rate of 100 ml/sec to 500 ml/sec while stirring the calcium solution at temperature in the range of 70 to 90°C at 500 to 1000 rpm, (e) rinsing the sediments using distilled water, and (f) drying the rinsed sediments.
