METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR PROVIDING SPIRAL SERVO CONTROL FOR READ/WRITE WITHOUT DISTORTION OF HARD DISC

PURPOSE: A method and an apparatus for providing spiral servo control for read/write without distortion of a hard disc are provided to effectively remove a gap between continuous tracks to improve efficiency of disc reading and writing operations. CONSTITUTION: Disc drive includes a means for calculating a start radius of each sector in each track of a disc and a final radius of the sector(2112), a means for positioning a read-write head while linearly varying the position of the read-write head from the start radius to the final radius through the control of a voice coil actuator(2124), and a means for writing information in the sector(2132). The disc includes tracks having a designated sequence each of which has sectors having a designated sequence.
