TDD/CDMA BASE STATION USING PATHLOSS AIDED CLOSED LOOP POWER CONTROL

PURPOSE: A TDD/CDMA(Time Division Duplex/Code Division Multiple Access) base station using pathloss aided closed loop power control is provided to control a transmit power level. CONSTITUTION: The TDD/CDMA base station has a transmission power command receiving and judging device(30), an antenna(36), a reference signal power measuring device(34), a pathloss determining device(32), a transmission power control determining device(28), a modulation and diffusion device(24) and an amplifier(26). The reference signal power measuring device(34) measures a received power level of a reference signal. The pathloss determining device(32) compares the measured received power level of the reference signal with a transmission power level of the reference signal, and generates a pathloss estimation value of the reference signal. A transmission power control determining device(28) determines a change level of the transmission power level using the pathloss estimation value, and determines the adjustment of the transmission power level in response to a transmission power command of the determined change level.
