PURPOSE: An ESD(Electro-Static Discharge) protection circuit is provided to shorten a turn-on period and prevent the concentration of ESD charges on one ESD protection element by using a bootstrap transistor. CONSTITUTION: An ESD protection circuit includes an ESD protection unit, a capacitor, and a bootstrap transistor. The ESD protection unit is connected between an output terminal of a data input/output pad(10) and a grounding power terminal in order to transmit uniformly the ESD charges to a grounding voltage terminal. The capacitor is used for transmitting the electric potential of the data input/output pad(10). The bootstrap transistor is connected to the capacitor in order to turn on the ESD protection unit according to a rising state of the electric potential of the data input/out pad(10).
