Warning system for detecting errors in startup routines associated with a computer or similar, said routines executing in the CPU. Said system comprises a warning device and each startup routine has one or more routines that transmit a temporal information message from the processor to the warning device. The warning device analyzes the received temporal messages associated with each routine and determines if each routine has terminated within a duration that does not exceed a predefined duration.
