PURPOSE: An apparatus for detecting electric waves is provided to stabilize totally all operations regardless of a trouble by operating selectively two transmitters and two reception parts. CONSTITUTION: An apparatus for detecting electric waves includes a transmission antenna(60), a reception antenna(70), a first transmitter(40A), a second transmitter(40B), a first switching part(65), a first control unit(63), a first reception unit(50A), a second reception unit(50B), a second switching unit(75), and a second control unit(73). The first and the second transmitter(40A,40B) radiate the first ultra-high frequencies. The first switching part(65) selects the first ultra-high frequencies from one of the first and the second transmitter and outputs the first ultra-high frequencies to the transmission antennas(60). The first control unit(63) generates the first selection signal and an enable signal of the second transmitter. The first and the second reception units(50A,50B) receive the second ultra-high frequencies. The second switching unit(75) outputs selectively the second ultra-high frequencies to the first reception part or the second reception part. The second control unit(73) generates the second selection signal and enable-signals of the first and the second transmitter.
