The invention relates to pharmaceutical preparations that are used in a method for treating opiate addiction or opiate dependence, especially heroin dependence. The active substance used is preferably diamorphine and/or one of the pharmaceutically acceptable acid addition salts thereof. The invention also relates to the treatment of opiate dependence.
