A compound of formula (I), wherein; R1 is H, CH3 or CH2OH; R2 is CH3 or CH2CH3; R3 is H, alkyl, hydroxylated alkyl or halogen; R4 is H, alkyl, hydroxylated alkyl or halogen; R5 is H or halogen and R6 and R7 are the same or different selected from H, alkyl, hydroxylated alkyl or alkoxy substituted alkyl; X is NH or O. Also described are pharmaceutical compositions comprising the compound of formula (I). These compounds are useful for inhibiting exogenously or endogenously stimulated gastric acid secretion.
