PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To sustain the effect of a means for removing foreign matters in ink when the ink introduced from the ink ejection port of a recording head is collected and reused. SOLUTION: A foreign matter removing means is provided removably in an ink collecting passage and an ink flowmeter is provided on the downstream side thereof. When the integrated flow rate of the ink flowmeter exceeds a preset limit level, circulation of ink is stopped and replacement of the foreign matter removing means is urged. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
