PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance both of matching property and feeding property even when a large number of sheets are stored. SOLUTION: After a sheet S1 discharged to a sheet storing parts 207, 208, and 209 which store the sheet S is pushed and abutted to a push and abut part 105A to perform matching, the matched sheet S is fed. A sheet feeding means 110 capable of coming into contact with and separating from the sheet S is provided with feeding members 110A and 110B which are arranged coaxially and have different feeding forces from each other. The sheet S1 is fed in a direction of pushing and abutting to the push and abut part 105A by the feeding member 110A whose feeding force is smaller than that of the feeding member 110B, thereby the matching property is enhanced. Further, the matched sheet S is sent by the feeding member 110B having a greater feeding force, thereby enhancing the feeding property. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
