<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical information recording medium whose water resistance, blot resistance, and application uniformity are good and which is excellent in a white background characteristic before and after preservation. <P>SOLUTION: In the optical information recording medium formed by successively laminating a recording layer, a light reflection layer, and at least one protection layer, the protection layer exposed on a surface is a white color ink reception layer of which the main components are a photopolymerization initiator and inorganic particles, and the whiteness of the ink reception layer surface in CIE 1976L*a*b* table color space satisfies both of the following conditions 1 and 2: (condition 1) L<SB>1</SB>*≥92 a<SB>1</SB>*=0.0∼2.0 b<SB>1</SB>*=-4.0∼3.0; and (condition 2) 0≤ΔLab≤3ΔLab=((L<SB>1</SB>*-L<SB>2</SB>*)<SP>2</SP>+ (a<SB>1</SB>*-a<SB>2</SB>*)<SP>2</SP>+(b<SB>1</SB>*-b<SB>2</SB>*)<SP>2</SP>)<SP>1/2.</SP>. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
