<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inkjet recording element, which gives an excellent optical density and a favorable quality and has an excellent drying time in the case that printing is performed with a coloring matter base ink. <P>SOLUTION: The inkjet recording element is formed by including a support having an image accepting layer thereon. The inkjet recording element includes a metal (oxy)hydroxide complex represented with formula M<SP>n+</SP>(O)<SB>a</SB>(OH)<SB>b</SB>(A<SP>P-</SP>)<SB>c</SB>xH<SB>2</SB>O, wherein M is at least one metal ion, n is 3 or 4, A is an organic or inorganic ion, p is 1, 2 or 3 and x is at least 0; when n is 3, a, b and c respectively include rational numbers satisfying inequalities 0≤a<1.5, 0<b<3 and 0≤pc<3 so as to balance with the charge of M<SP>3+</SP>metal ion or when n is 4, a, b and c respectively include rational numbers satisfying inequalitis 0≤a<2, 0<b<4 and 0≤pc<4 so as to balance with the charge of M<SP>4+</SP>metal ion. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
