<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently apply image processing to image data acquired in a mobile terminal device such as a mobile telephone with a camera. <P>SOLUTION: On the basis of a use and/or a picture quality of image data S0 acquired in a portable telephone 1 with a camera, in an image processing place determining means 16, a place to apply image processing to the image data S0 is determined to obtain place information B0. When the image processing place is the portable telephone 1 with the camera, in an image processing means 13, image processing is applied to the image data S0 to obtain processed image data S1. The image data S0 or the processed image data S1 are transmitted to an image server 3 together with the place information B0. When the image processing place is the image server 3, image processing is performed in the image server 3.
