<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To optimize the contact ratio of a core retaining component to the inner wall of a core, in a core retainer which retains the ink tank of a ball-point pen or the body of a mechanical pencil incorporated in a composite writing utensil. <P>SOLUTION: In the writing utensil constituted of a sleeve with an open tip through which a writing element protrudes and the internally provided core retainer for retaining the core with the writing element fitted at the tip, the contact area of the core retainer to the core inner wall of the core is set to be 5 to 70 %. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
