PIEZOELECTRIC ACTUATOR, ITS MANUFACTURING PROCESS, INK JET HEAD, AND INK JET RECORDER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent occurrence of dielectric breakdown due to moisture in a piezoelectric actuator.

SOLUTION: The piezoelectric actuator 21 comprises a piezoelectric actuator section 22 consisting of a common electrode 27, a piezoelectric 29, and a discrete electrode 33, a joint 43 of electric wiring formed on the discrete electrode 33, an electric wiring 45 formed on the joint 43 of electric wiring, a head block 47 secured to a nozzle plate 39 through the electric wiring 45, and a PI tape 49 stretched in the head block 47. An enclosed space 57 is formed between the head block 47 and the nozzle plate 39. The enclosed space 57 is sectioned into two subspaces by the PI tape 49. The subspace on the head block 47 side constitutes a first enclosed space 57a encapsulating moisture absorbent 52, in the enclosed space 57. Relative humidity in the enclosed space 57 of an ink jet head 1 is set between 0-20%.
