PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a content distribution system, a distribution apparatus and a receiver which can prevent unauthorized use of contents of which the use time limit is determined.

SOLUTION: The receiver transmits a first time and date ticked by a first clock provided to it to the distribution apparatus and the distribution apparatus transmits time limit information with the corrected use time limit of the contents on the basis of a second clock to the receiver by using difference between a second time and date ticked by the second clock provided to it and the first time and date.
