<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air bag device to enable firm assembly of an air bag cover to a case by improving rigidity of the locking claw part of a case. <P>SOLUTION: The case 24 is provided with: a peripheral wall part 28; and a plurality of engaging claw parts 36 situated in a manner to protrude to the outside from the vicinity of the upper end of the peripheral wall part 28. An air bag cover 41 is situated in vicinity of the peripheral wall part 28 and provided with assembly pieces 46a and 46b having an assembly hole 47 in which an engaging claw part 36 is inserted to lock the engaging claw part at the peripheral edge of the assembly hole. The air bag device is constituted as mentioned above, and has the engaging claw part 36 crossing the peripheral wall part 28 and provided with an insertion piece part 37 situated insertably in the assembly hole 47; and an engaging piece part 38 bent downward on the tip side of the insertion piece part 37. A convex part 39 having a substantially U-shaped cross-section is formed as continuously extends toward the lower end of the peripheral wall part 28 from the insertion piece part 37, including the crossing section 40 between the insertion piece part 37 and the peripheral wall part 28. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO</p> |
