<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a picture color reproducing system or the like which can reproduce an image of a commodity distributed via a network on a monitor of a client side with an original color of the commodity. <P>SOLUTION: A method for reproducing a picture color includes the steps of reading color chart data from a color chart data storage unit 16 of an application server 5, displaying the color chart data on a monitor 1 of a client personal computer 4 side via data transmitters/receivers 17, 14, imaging the displayed color chart by a digital camera 3, calculating correction data for reproducing an original color of the picture on the monitor 1 by a monitor characteristic correction data operation unit 18 based on the imaged color chart picture data, original color chart data, color information previously imparted to the color chart, and imaging characteristic data read from a digital camera imaging characteristic data storage unit 15 in response to the camera type, and correcting the picture data displayed on the monitor 1 by a monitor characteristic correcting unit 11 by using the correction data. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO</p> |
