RECORDING MEDIUM PEELING MEANS OF MULTICOLOR IMAGE FORMING DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device which can securely peel a low-rigidity recording medium represented by thin paper and moisture-absorbing paper off an image carrier.

SOLUTION: When the recording medium 23 which is peeled with a peeling claw and lifted is passed, the tip part of a guide 18 which is installed at a position lower than the height of the recording medium 23 is inserted into between the recording medium 23 and a transfer drum 6. The tip of the guide 18 is so shaped as to move back downstream as it leaves the peeling claw 17 while keeping a fixed distance to the transfer drum 6, and the tip of the guide 18 gently connects. Consequently, the recording medium 23 that the peeling claw does not come into direct contact with is gradually peeled from where the recording medium is peeled with the peeling claw 17 and then the overall width of the recording medium 23 is peeled off from the transfer drum 6.
