PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a studless pneumatic tire for heavy loads with reduced heel-and-toe wear and having excellent traveling performance on icy roads. SOLUTION: The studless pneumatic tire is equipped with a tread having a central land part divided by at least four circumferential main grooves on a cylindrical tread surface part, a pair of shoulder land parts adjacent to both ends of a tread surface, and intermediate land parts of each of the land parts. Rows of blocks divided by multiple lug grooves which cross the central and shoulder land parts of the tread are formed on the central and the shoulder land parts of the tread while the intermediate land parts are made to function as ribs depending on the direction of force applied within a ground contact surface, and a plurality of transverse sipes are formed on the blocks and the ribs.
