<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a segment divider/multiplexer which can simplify a circuit and effectively transmit data. <P>SOLUTION: Data counters 31 to 34 count the number of pieces of data from input interfaces 21 to 24, and output a carry signal to header count attachers 41 to 44 each time the data exceeds a data length of one segment. The header count attachers 41 to 44 detect the number of segments to be previously divided and store the detected value in a memory 51 when the storage of packet data in the memory 51 is completed. Read data counters 71 to 74 count a header in data read out from the memory 51. Segment header generators 81 to 84 generate a segment header indicative of whether the divided segment data is head, middle or last on the basis of the counter value. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO</p> |
