PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide picture generation apparatus that reduces the working burden of a person checking a generated picture of a drawing in checking the generated picture of the drawing. SOLUTION: The picture generation apparatus 10 is provided with a data output part 11a for outputting connection position data CC and O showing the connection positions of first members D to H to a second member C and member data 13, 15a, 15b, 16, 17 and 20 showing the first members D to H and the second members B and C, and a picture generation part 11b for generating a picture of a plan 18 that planarly shows each of the first members D to H and the second members B and C on the basis of the connection position data CC and O outputted from the data output part 11a. The plan 18 visually distinguishes and shows each of the first members D to H and the second members B and C and shows the member data 13, 15a, 15b, 16, 17 and 20 outputted from the data output part 11a.
