LIQUID CRYSTAL DISPLAY DEVICE AND ITS DRIVING METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the generation of horizontal stripes to be displayed on a liquid crystal screen. SOLUTION: A liquid crystal display device is provided with a data driving circuit and a scanning driving circuit. The data driving circuit alternately repeats a 1st process for outputting a display signal N times (N is a natural number≥2) and a 2nd process for outputting a blanking signal M times (M is a natural number smaller than N). The scanning driving circuit alternately repeats a 1st selection process for successively selecting each Y rows (Y is a natural number smaller than N/M) in the 1st process and a 2nd selection process for successively selecting rows other than (Y×N) rows selected in the 1st selection process by each Z rows (Z is a natural number≥N/M). Dot inversion drive is performed by shifting the output timing of the blanking signal, and the polarity of the blanking signal is inverted from the polarity of video data to be outputted next.
