PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a picture projector provided with a mechanism which finely adjusts variable magnifications of a projected picture and finely compensates distortions without raising the cost, though having a simple structure. SOLUTION: An picture projector 1 is provided with a picture projection means 3 for projecting pictures on a screen and a moving support means 4 for supporting and moving the picture projection means. The moving support means is provided with a freely turnably supported rotating member 22, and the size of the projected picture on the screen is reduced or expanded continuously or stepwise by rotating the rotating member only in a direction parallel with the projection direction of the picture projection means to move the picture projection means forward and backward in the projection direction, and thus the projected picture is set to a desired size.
