PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a portable signal for education which is less bulky, is easily portable, eliminates the need for selecting places of use and the labor for laying electric wires due to nonuse of electricity, and is trouble-free. SOLUTION: The signal is provided with indication plates respectively indicating a design signifying a red signal and a design signifying a blue flash signal in the respective indication regions corresponding to windows 7 and 8 behind a front plate 2 formed with the two upper and lower windows 7 and 8, is vertically slidably provided with a sub-shielding plate indicating the design signifying a blue signal in front of the indication plate, and is further provided with a shielding plate 17 between the sub-shielding plate and the front plate 2 such that the designs can be selectively visually recognized through either of the windows 7 and 8.
