PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a resin composition for optical fiber coating which is excellent in anti-tearing strength in the case that a notch is given and breakability. SOLUTION: The resin composition for optical fiber coating to be used contains a radical-polymerizable oligomer A1 having an Mn of 600-1,600 obtained by reacting 1 an aliphatic polyol compound having an Mn of 50-600 and a chain structure, 2 a polyisocyanate compound having a cyclic structure and 3 a compound having both a hydroxy group and a radical-polymerizable unsaturated group in its molecule, and a radical-polymerizable oligomer A2 obtained by reacting 4 an aliphatic polyol compound having an Mn of 800-10,000 and a chain structure, 5 a polyisocyanate compound and 6 a compound having both a hydroxy group and a radical-polymerizable unsaturated group in its molecule. The weight ratio of A1 to A2 is 20/80-80/20. The concentration of urethane bonding is 1.85-3.00 mol/kg. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
