PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sealant composition having excellent weatherability and particularly excellent elongation retention properties that allows little surface degradation and generates few cracks, etc., even when exposed to UV rays for a long time. SOLUTION: This sealant composition comprises a sealant, a hindered amine stabilizer and a layered silicate. A 1 mm-thick sheet of dumbbell No. 2 from the composition has an elongation retention rate as measured by JIS B 7751 of≥70% after UV irradiation using a carbon arc sunshine weatherometer for 500 h (continuous UV irradiation, a 15 min cycle of showering in every 60 min, and black panel temperature being 63°C).
