PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To instantaneously extract user's necessary images from a mass of images to carry out image formation. SOLUTION: One or more of images 2-1 are set to a image reading means 1-4. An index designed command is inputted by an operating means 1-2 into a processing means 1-8. The images 2-1 are read by every one image or by every multiple images by the image reading means 1-4 and are converted to image data. The image data is memorized into a storage means 1-6 through the processing means 1-8. One or more memorized images are arranged in a record medium, and a code for recognition is given to the record medium. At the same time, check boxes are given to the arranged images 2-1. The check box of the user's necessary image among arranged images in the record medium is marked.
